Blog Maintenance

Ok guys, here's a few things I just did.

First of all, as Betsy objected to the misogyny of our little blog description, I deleted it.

Secondly, I have made you all administrators of the blog, meaning you can change settings. In order to change something (say the title of the blog or the description or whatever), you go to the blogger dashboard (the same place you make your posts from). When you're there, you click on the little gear icon beside the title of the blog. Anyone can now futz around with whatever you like, but please, if you don't know html very well, leave the template alone except to change the background, which can be done easily.

Thirdly, I have changed the comments policy--now if you make a comment, there should be a word verification thing pop up--the kind of thing designed to stop automatically generated messages, like what we've been getting. it means a little bit more hassle from us, but no wacko auto-comments.

Finally, I have added something called a sitemeter at the bottom of the page. by clicking on it, you can check to see how many people have visited the site, where they were (in real space) when they visited, etc. Which brings me to the question-- Varun, did you check the blog while in Lisbon?

All cool?

Also, if you have sites you'd like to add to the blogroll (that's the sidebar that has links to other blogs, other sites, etc.) leave a comment and i'll add them. cool?
