Paradise Now was absolutely phenomenal. I saw it at the film festival here in Cairo.
good night and good luck was ridiculously good. make sure you don't miss the opening though, that's key.
the squid and the whale was pretty good, some of it was just gross, and you wonder "dear noah, why did you put this in your otherwise beautiful and well acted movie?"
i strike again.
syriana was BEAUTIFULLY done.
i'd heard previously that it was very confusing, and that's slightly true, but it's not difficult to stick with and with just about 2:14 minutes of post-film discussion, it's all sorted out.
